It’s been a crazy weekend. Hell, it’s been a crazy year. I didn’t get the chance to post my weekly updates on the progress with the book yesterday, so as the old saying goes, better late than never.

I had my first official writing group with some fellow Indie Book Collective members on Friday. With my nerves on edge, I went into the group thinking, good gawd, I have no clue what I’m doing. But to my surprise, it wasn’t as bad as what I thought it would be. The information we exchanged proved useful and helpful.

So today, I’m working on fixing the minor issues the group members brought up as well as working on rewrites for chapter 3. All in all, the book is coming together. If I can get over the challenges of re-writing the first 3 chapters, I think the rest will fly by. At least, I’m hoping that will be the case.

As of today, I’m still holding out for my Oct/Nov release date for What the Heart Wants. My crit partner is keeping me motivated and we’re writing like crazy women on crack. This week, things should start settling down around the home front so I have big plans to do a lot of writing. Here’s hoping for a productive month ahead.
