It’s been almost 4 years ago since I published my first book, What the Heart Wants, Soulmate #1 (my publiversary is November 26th so keep an eye out for a giveaway around this date 😉 ). While this may not seem like a lengthy amount of time, in this ever-growing market of indie books, 4 years is more like a decade.

With so many great books available and just as many beautiful covers attached to these books, I felt it was time for a change. So what does this mean? Well, I’ve decided to change the covers of my Soulmate books.

Coming to this decision was difficult. I like my current covers. Always have. Yet they’ve never had a true ‘paranormal’ feel to them. In the recent weeks, I couldn’t help but notice every time I’ve been on Amazon that my covers, no matter how unique they may be, are hard to read at thumbnail size.

Personally, if I’m scrolling through Amazon and noticing other books in the recommendation queue, I pay little attention to the ones with hard to read titles. I know I’m not the only person who does this. If you read any book marketing blog,  you’ll see experts recommending covers have easy to read text at any size, especially thumbnails.

Soulmate Series covers are failing in this aspect.

There are many reasons for my decision to change the covers…and I’ve made the changes. Now it’s time to present them to the world. As loyal blog readers, you are among the first to see the new covers. I will be uploading them to Amazon today, and I’m in the process of redoing the paperback version. If you own one of my paperbacks with the current covers, consider yourself the owner of a limited edition item. 😉

*Note: While I kept the image for What the Desires, Soulmate 4, I did change the layout and text.

Without further ado, I’d like to present the new Soulmate Series covers

So what do you think? Do you like the new covers? Which is your favorite?
